Chapters CD
We were just told that amazon.uk/.de is offering the Chapters CD as UK import, release dates: June 27/July 11, 2005.
Here is SPV's official information from Friday, July 1, 2005 - in order to dispose this rumour:
Planned release date: September 12, 2005. The Chapters CD is not going to be released as UK import, but a European-wide edition.
Since this is and was the original plan, we don't know where Amazon obtains their information from.

Maybe the Saga Store will eventually offer some music?

im sure here we will get the import right on time, it happened with the release of FULL CIRCLE years ago, we were paying import prices from germany for that cd ...but hey, we did not care one bit to pay some 6 or 7 dollars extra for it, we will do it this time again....

Chapters Live review from Destiny Records( UK mail order)
Since the release of their self titled debut way back in 1978, Canada's Saga
have consistently proven themselves to be one of the most inventive, refreshingly
different bands the hard rock world has ever seen. They may have suffered a
little bit with a couple of experimentally below par albums in the mid 90's, but
'Generation 13' and 'Pleasure And The Pain' aside, their recorded output has
been uniformly excellent. Of all the great songs they've produced over the years
(far too numerous to even begin to mention here), the fabled 'Chapters' have been
some of the most talked about.
Initially the be found covering two songs apiece on their first four studio albums, the
enigmatic conundrum woven throughout their interlinked themes has provoke debate
and speculation amongst fans pretty much ever since. And just when some thought
they had it all worked out, a further eight intriguing chapters were added to the
melting pot via their 'Full Circle', 'House OF Cards' and 'Marathon' albums!
Now, for the very first time, all 16 chapters have been gathered together on one epic
double live cd. Unfortunately, the promo copy I have gives no information as to when
and where the individual tracks were recorded (their own web site being equally as
forthcoming), although the press blurb dies drop tantalising hints around a long held
secret finally being revealed...hmm, I guess we'll see in the fullness of time I suppose,
when the finished package surfaces. However, leaving all that cloak and dagger stuff
to one side for the moment, what I can tell you is that the performances are (as expected),
certainly in keeping with the band I've seen live on and off for the last 20 years. Always
heavier and even more dynamic live, Ian Crichton's guitar take a more central role in the
songs, enjoying the cut and thrust with Jim Gilmour's ever busy keyboards, both creating
a rich, multi-layered background from which Michael Sadler is able to craft a wholly unique
set of melodies. An absolute must for Saga fans!
