Social Orphan hat geschrieben:Chris, first off welcome. Secondly and this question may be a tough one for you to answer. Are you now the permanent Saga drummer?
Well, I'm not Chris - but I've got the answer! Or at least a theory...
Steve will never be the Saga-drummer again. Neither will Brian. At least if they're planning on doing shows all around the globe(read;Germany) in the future. You know - promoter - insurance - and so on... So I guess it's either Chris - or are they planning on getting a 5th drummer (or 6th? - counting Curt Cress...) ? Only time will tell.
But wait - Brian's still listed as the official drummer according to www.sagaontour.ca - so I guess they're planning on touring Canada exclusively in the next chapter...
I rest my case...

I'm not answering this stuff... I'm too busy worrying about playing the shows up to the expectations of "some people".
Thank you to all the fans who are supportive though.
Some people....

Hi Chris,
I´m really looking forward to the 3 Saga shows with you I will attend.
How did you manage to get the Saga drumming stuff working for you so quick ?
Did you listen to the songs a lot. Did you have many rehearsals with the Saga members ?
What is your opinion of the Saga music ?

Michael...
Thanks for the nice words!
Michael...
I had about eight days to learn the stuff on my own.. i had gigs and drum clinics in my schedule at home.. so I charted and listened like crazy. I spent two days at a warehouse on the drum set playing them.. then..
I met Ian and Jim at the aorport and we flew to Germany... we rehearsed for two days in Worpswede and away we went!
It was one of the hardest things I have ever done.. so much to learn.
I was always a fan of the band but only had two albums... so there was a lot of learning.
The tour is really fun and things are settling in now.
See ya soon

Hi Chris,
wow, that´s great. Learning the Saga songs in such a short time is hard to believe.
Saga drumming is no easy going drumming, like in many other bands, so my respect to you.
See you in Nürnberg, Augsburg and of course in Munich.

Hi, Chris!
I hope to meet you at the Puerto Rico "in-store" event at The Music Zone in Plaza Las Americas. I trust you will be there to sign a few DVD's and posters. Thanks for keeping the SAGA machine running smoothly and best of luck in your San Juan concert!
