I think an too much accented voice won't work for Saga.
In your list you have rhotic accent and other ones.
I think it sounds very clear. Clear voice and clear articulation.

The only person other than Gowan taking over for Michael would have to be Sturat Nicholson from the UK prog band Galahad. He is around the same age as the Saga guys and really has the voice. Have a listen to I Could Be God on Galahad's latest release, Empires Never Last. They have become my favourite new band. They sound like a mixture of Saga, Rush and Queen. Stu's vocal style reminds me of Michael Sadler, Freddie Mercury and sometimes Fish. As Galahad are only a part time band, I am sure he would be up for a full time gig with a world renowned band like Saga.

He has the voice, he is the right age, he has tons of experience, just needs to join a more recognosied band like SAGA.

And Galahads CD, Empires Never Last has just won 'CD of the Year' by the Classic Rosk Society here in the UK.

There is a song on the CD called 'I Could Be God', it shows that he can sound close to Michael Sadler without mimicing him, bringing his voice to the band. He is also one of Galahad's principal songwriters. And to be honest Saga have not made a record half as good as Empires Never Last for quite some time. This could be the kick start they need.

Why you ask would Stuart leave a great band like Galahad, well one answer, a full time job with a world renowned band compared to singing part time and having to work in a Post Office for a living!

Well, Saga is a Swedish name and word

And an english, american, canadian, norwegian, danish and I believe German word and name. I believe many languages has the word.

And this guy has no Swedish accent I can tell...

Didn't say that. I said he has a Swedish sound. Accent has nothing to do with it.



Mind you, Pernilla Wahlgreen is probably the only one in Sweden I know of who can sing English in Stockholmska. That is an achievement on it's own.

My vote is still with Steve Brooke. It's not just the voice but the cheeky look that is giving away his personality. I have a feeling the guys would have an absolute blast touring with him.

The guy from Rochester is also a very good contender.
