Sad but true, the DVD master that the DVD company has sent to the pressing plant was corrupted. So we had to postpone the release date in Germany, Austria, Switzerland for another week. New release date: March 6th, 2009 Sorry for any inconvenience

Susi, are you sure it isn't March 16th? and then March 24th for N.America. The new dates are from the link you provided to insideout.
This is frustrating but in the end I'm sure it will be worth it. I wouldn't be surprised if the new cd is delayed as well since record companies don't like to release artist's new releases so close together, it saturates the market, but then again Saga fans are different, we will skip buying groceries in order to buy new Saga material.

BTW, the new webpage looks terrific, my congratulations to whoever is responsible, thank you.

With the new album and tour only a couple of months away,it is so glaringly obvious that....'CONTACT' SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT LAST YEAR!...some bad scheduleing going on here...oh well never mind.Sure will be a great 2009 for us SAGA fans !!!!!!!

Thanks for the confirmation legins, and yes I wouldn't be surprised if there is another delay for it's release since it has happened before.
Problems with the master have happened before on a couple of other Saga DVD's causing delay after delay for their release. As a fan it becomes quite frustrating and one would think they might consider changing companies who do this type of work, however, I'm not sure they have many options.

I read they want to have the new cd released prior to the tour, so this puts the release of the DVD and the new cd quite close to one another,this can be a problem because you want big numbers during the initial release of a new cd.
I have limited funds at the moment which means I will probably have to make a choice.

Since Saga no longer tours in the US, watching them on DVD is my only way of seeing their live sets.

A lot of music DVD'S available in Europe are in NTSC but still Region 2...So that would be my guess Tim'.

Afaik Region Code 0 means, that the DVD can be watched in every country

Thanks Susi, I'll see if I can track one down. Most of the time the European DVD's are in PAL format so I assumed this would be too. I think it has to be region 0 to play over here.
I found one site with the NTSC version but they're all sold out and the next copies they get will be the the N.American release.

Timmer I would love to see them but I can't travel very far, I have no one to house sit my pets plus I'm unemployed so money for travel is out of the budget.
