I think, Saga-Norway, that a poll here will be in favor of Saga. I think that's why we come here. We still like Saga. So we vote in favor. Where as, I think if you come here and don't like it you will just leave.

Maybe on this board, that's why I do post here and not on any other boards anymore...

Exactly! I'm mature enough to try the new Saga; if I find I don't like it, it's my choice to leave.Timmer hat geschrieben:I think, Saga-Norway, that a poll here will be in favor of Saga. For me SAGA is what SAGA was,
The new stuff - for me - is something else, and I really hope the boys make it something else, - note: "step inside" is a good sign in renewed direction.
I think it sounds really really good, and I'am looking forward to the new album, but again its not "SAGA" (for me),
so why:
It all beacame very clear this weekend when I (and my wife) had a first peak at the Munich DVD, and after that I connected the computer to the same stereo to check out "step inside" (and play it to my wife)
Both me and my wife had this moment of "sad clarity" (we both had tears in our eyes) - it was like suddenly we actually understood - 30 years with "our SAGA" are really over, .
All the the CD's, DVD's and live shows we have attended over the years - went from real life - to nostalgica in a matter of playing time for "step inside".
Well I guess nothing is forever ! - so forget about this whining from an old man
and start look forward to Human Condition, and long live the new SAGA !!

I've listened and at the moment have to say, not sure.
No doubt the album will be good if not great and will have something for all on it.
But for me at the moment I'll sit with my backside firmly on the fence.

Did you bring your own cushion? This fence is well worn, and has a few splinters!!Adrian C hat geschrieben:I've listened and at the moment have to say, not sure.

Wilkie: Good open mind, that's all anyone can ask right?
I felt the same way about Genesis without Phil. But I love Calling all Stations with Ray and had bought tickets to see them in Toronto. But the whole thing was shelved over poor sales of 3 million.
AC, Ouch. Not much longer and you can get off either way.

We all have an open mind here.
The direction Saga have choosen with this song is in my opinion a great one.
And I wil give Saga all the support I can. Especially at this time.

A very good comparison ! Calling all Stations was an excellent album, but "Genesis", not sure.

I had/ have my concerns about the new direction, but I am buying the album, and will give it a fair crack of the whip. After all, I am English, and will fight for the English sense of fair play, what-what!!

Ok wilky.
But it is not just me, my husband who isn't such a big fan as me from Saga, he likes only the four first albums from Saga and Generation 13.
But when he heard this new song from Saga he was very impressed he said let me haer this intro again! let me hear the solo again!! He liked it too, so it's not just me as a fan who likes this song al lot.

My wife only like the old albums (78 - 87)
On Saturday i played Step Inide, and she said that this was much better then the other "new" songs... (89 - 07)
She wanted to here it again and again...
Maybe some day she want to go to a SAGA concert with me again
Still looking forward to hear the rest of the album...
