Brian,
I hope you get well soon. Be very carefull with yourself. You only have one back and you have to live with it for the rest of you're life! I'll think of you and pray for you.

Get well soon!
Hello Brian!
It's really a pity to read that you've hurt your back and that therefore you're not able to come to Germany. Although - to be honest - it's nice to see Steve again... but we will miss you and your playing!
Get well soon! We are looking forward to the next concerts with you as the drummer!
Warm regards, Andy

Thanks Andy - ya it's a bummer this happened and I can't be there. I'm working at getting better but I'm not out of the woods yet. I hurt my back getting my drum hardware case of my van at home after doing a recording session. I wonder how much it weighs?
It's full of steel so it can't be too light.
I gotta get 2 smaller ones or something.
Thanks - Brian

Autsch, sounds not good
I know that weight, if we got a gig and I help my drummer... Esspecially the bassdrum is very heavy...
So, I hope you'll feel better very soon

Hi Brian,
sad to hear you're not able to play! Get well soon!
I had the pleasure to meet you after the gig in Hamburg back in April and was hoping to get the photo signed next week in Luebeck. Too bad... But I'm sure I'll get a chance next year... Maybe in Berlin?!
All the best from Berlin,
Bertho

Sorry for the late reply.
Ahh drum notation. Well.... to sit down and write it all out would take a long time.
I don't write these types of things out every day. I usually work from a sheet of paper that has intro, verse, chorus, bridge, lead - etc. with the number of bars for each on it. Only if I have trouble remembering a particular part will I write it in drum notation.
I am, however, working with some new software here at home that will allow me to play my electric drums right into my computer. I then have to export the recorded midi files into another software program that will allow me to print it.
I don't have it all working yet because they are very complicated programs and I am not familiar with them yet. I am getting help from a few people at the Roland Corporation.
Have your son name each part of a song then count bars for each part. This is the fastest and easiest way to learn the arrangement of a song. I have all of my students do this.
If he's having trouble with a part of a song, have him find JUST the trouble spot and practice just that for 5 minutes or so.
I hope this helps!

Hi Brian,
you did a drumsolo with Saga this year in the first part of the Germany Tour, which started somehow like the Saga "Briefcase" and morphed to your own style drumsolo, wich I liked very much.
My question is:
could you imagine of a new drumsolo project together with Michael Sadler ?
I hope he didn´t give away his E-Drum case
I like the question and answer play of 2 Drummers very much and I guess, the fans would like that, too.
I wish you good luck with your back, hopping to see you on the next Tour with Saga again.

Hi Brian,
How are you? How is your back? I really hope you're feeling much better.
Since yesterday I have my own drumkit. It's not as good as that from my teacher, but I'm very happy with my own. Still using my furniture and knees to practice, because I don't want the neighbours to get angry. But that one hour day in my own little room on my own kit: it's fantastic! Wish I discovered the joy of drumming many, many, many years ago.
I hope to see and hear you next year and if it's possible in the Netherlands. I really missed you in Essen and I'm not the only one.
Regards,
Ineke
